terms of service

cancellation policy

if you’ve booked an appointment but can’t make it, no worries. you can cancel and reschedule.

i only ask that you give a minimum of 48 hours notice.

here are the steps:

  1. cancel the appointment: you can do this in your original appointment email (there’s a link there to “cancel appointment”) or you can email or call to let me know;
  2. make a new appointment: you can do this in your original appointment email (there’s a link there to “book another appointment” or you can do it through my book a session page;

of course, life can throw curveballs and some things happen beyond our control.

which brings me to my:

refund and dispute policy

i’m a reasonable guy.

if you cancel an appointment without sufficient notice, i’ll ask you to make another booking within 30 days.

we won’t fall out…

i’ll assume life threw you a curveball.

and, if this is the first time you have cancelled without sufficient notice, you won’t lose your deposit so long as you rebook within 30 days.

but, if you don’t want to rebook, or if this is not the first time you have cancelled without sufficient notice, you will lose your deposit.

note: a deposit is equal to half the price of a single session, so if you paid in full for a session that you then cancelled and chose not to rebook, i’ll refund half, keeping the deposit portion.

keeping deposits is for the usual reasons that such policies exist, you know, the main one being that your appointment was reserved for you, making it unavailable to anyone else, and also to compensate me for any preparations or arrangements i made to be available for your booking.

lastly, if i can’t make an appointment, i’ll allow myself some of the flexibility i mentioned above, but not all.

here’s how this looks:

i’ll strive to give you at least 48 hours notice, and if i meet that requirement, we’ll reschedule the appointment.

however, if life throws me a curveball and i cancel without giving you sufficient notice, i will refund your deposit (or half the payment you made if you paid in full.)

the rescheduled appointment will be charged at half price to compensate for the inconvenience.

i hope that makes sense.

and there you have it…

this is my “terms of service” and, as you can see, it is not the usual boring boilerplate jargon.

more “terms” to come…
